The Story Behind the Name “IsOnlyMe”

Every name has a story. This one comes from one of the most difficult chapters of my life.

For most of my life, my father was a strong and resilient man. He rarely complained about his health and, as far as I can remember, had never been hospitalized. Unfortunately, by the time we discovered he had colon cancer, it had already progressed to an advanced stage.

What followed was a battle that changed my life forever.

I spent everything I had trying to save him. Every dollar, every resource, and every ounce of hope went into his treatment. I searched for answers, sought help wherever I could, and prayed for a miracle. During that difficult period, one friend stood beside me, offering financial support and helping me secure a loan when I had exhausted other options.

But the costs kept growing.

Money became so tight that I took on debts I could barely manage. Eventually, I was forced to sell a property, something I still regret today. It felt as though every sacrifice I made was still not enough.

Then, on September 18, 2025, my father, Mr. Friday Ataba Idem, passed away at the age of 75.

The day he died, I experienced a level of loneliness I had never known before. The person who had always been there was gone. The financial burden remained. The emotional pain remained. The uncertainty remained.

And in that moment, one realization echoed in my mind:

It’s only me.

Not as a rejection of the kindness and support of others, but as a reminder that life’s hardest battles often require us to discover strength within ourselves. There are moments when no one can carry the burden for us. Moments when we must stand, endure, learn, adapt, and continue moving forward despite the pain.

That realization became the inspiration for IsOnlyMe.com.

This website is more than a publication about technology, artificial intelligence, wealth building, and smarter living. It is a tribute to resilience. It is a reminder that knowledge creates opportunity, preparation creates security, and growth creates hope.

Most importantly, it is dedicated to the memory of my beloved father, Mr. Friday Ataba Idem.

His life, sacrifices, and the lessons I learned through losing him remain at the heart of everything I do.
